CARING FOR ANIMALS BIG AND SMALL
For nearly 65 years our clinic has provided premier veterinary service to western Nebraska and eastern Colorado. The practice caters to an approximately 50% large animal and 50% companion animal caseload with services ranging from routine preventative care to referral level procedures. Our team is composed of four full time veterinarians, six licensed technicians, and several support staff across our primary and satellite clinics.
Ron Moorhead, DVM
Dr. Moorhead acts as our primary equine clinician employing a variety of surgical and medical techniques for your horses. Small animal orthopedic surgery and alternative therapies such as chiropractic and acupuncture are just a few of his additional interest areas. Outside of the clinic Ron enjoys spending time with grandkids and working in gundog trials with his champion labs.
Tara Fanning, DVM
Dr. Fanning is a truly mixed animal practitioner with years of multi-species experience under her belt. She serves as head veterinarian for our equine breeding program with emphasis on mare health and advanced reproductive methods. Companion animal surgery and equine preventative care are Tara's additional focus fields. Rodeo and sporting events are the preferred pastimes of the Fanning family.
Nick Lemmel, DVM
Dr. Lemmel oversees the bovine and population medicine aspects of the practice with additional responsibilities as a small animal clinician. He is passionate about beef production strategies to improve herd health while increasing revenue for our producers. Dr. Lemmel is married to his wonderful wife Jessica and currently has two children Leighton and Wells. In his freetime he enjoys fishing and spending time with family.
Carrick Perlinger, DVM
Dr. Perlinger is the newest addition to our veterinary team with both production and companion animal expertise. As a native to western NE, he enjoys fostering connections with clientele while prioritizing education and preventative medicine. Specialty areas for Dr. Perlinger include small animal internal medicine and disease management. Carrick's favorite activities are those spent outdoors with his wife Sara, their son Charlie, and their dog Nash.
